How do I request prayer?
To request prayer for yourself or someone of special concern:
Email your request directly to the Prayer Team at this confidential email address: prayer@church-hsb.org. This way, members of the Prayer Team can begin praying almost immediately.
Speak with our pastors about your prayer needs by calling 830-598-8390.
Call the church office at 830-598-8390 to add a name to the prayer list printed in the Sunday bulletin. (Generally a name is listed for 4-6 weeks unless otherwise requested.)
Fill out a Prayer Request Card from the pew pocket and place it in the offering plate, or in the Prayer Box in the narthex. Please update your request with a new Prayer Request card.
Who prays for me?
Our church volunteer Prayer Team pray your request. Many of the members prefer to remain anonymous. As God’s instruments of intercessory prayer, the team does not judge a request, but simply prays trusting God to work through the request.
All requests submitted to the Prayer Team are kept confidential unless otherwise instructed. The team prays for two weeks, and then classifies it to history until an update is received.
The Prayer Team prays faithfully upon receipt of the request. Then they meet as a group to pray every week on Mondays at 9:00 a.m. and Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. Once you turn in a request, you can rest assured that faithful pray-ers are interceding to God on your behalf.
May I join the Prayer Team?
The Prayer Team is a ministry of praying for others, inviting our wise and good God to do what His wisdom and love want done. All you need is a heart for prayer and a willingness to attend a prayer meeting once a week ~ either Monday 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. or Wednesday 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Being part of the Prayer Team is an opportunity to join with God’s fellow workers to unlock the storehouse of heaven for hearts and minds in our church and beyond.
